Monuments of India are the eye witness of its rich culture and heritage. Monuments are form of expressions for cultural grandness and it is reflected through monuments. The era of architecture in India started from settlements of Mohenjodro and Harappa goes through several ruins of Maryann and Delhi sultanate, Mughal period and finally reaches at British mansions. Religious and Spiritual monuments- Hindu monuments are build on the basis of religious belief. Palaces and forts- India is the perfect home to several majestic forts and palaces which truly represents the grandness of an empire. Tajmahal and old Fort in Agra; Red fort and old fort in Delhi, Rajasthani palaces, Mysore palace and many more are some finest example of mausoleums. Beside them Colonial architecture for instance Rastrapati Bhawan, Parliament house and buildings of cannaught place in Delhi and imperial churches spread all over India are other magnificent tourist attractions.
