Doddabetta Peak- It is the highest peak of Nilgiri hills, situated with an altitude of 2623 meter above the sea level. Located 10 km away from Ooty, it is one of the most visited locations of the hill stations. And trekking at the peak is really an unforgettable moment.
Government Botanical Park- If you want to explore rarest of rare plant, it is the perfect place for you. The garden was established in 1848 and managed by the Department of Horticulture. It covers an area of 22 hectares, notable for 20 million year old tree fossil, rare tree species like Lily pond and cork tree. Do not forget to enjoy the monkey puzzle tree.
Deer Park- It is one the highest wildlife sanctuary in India, situated 1 km away from Ooty. The park covers an area of 22 hectares and includes rare species of hare Chital and Sambar. |
