One of the most sought after destination in India, Jaipur is situated around Aravali Hills in the western part of India now it is capital of colorful state Rajasthan. Popularly known as pink city, it is the first planned city of India. The city was established by the Maharaja Jai Singh in 1727, and old city was enclosed by famous seven gates. City Palace- the palace is situated amidst the pink city, surrounded by the high walls and includes enchanting gardens and courtyards. It is excellent example of Rajshthani and Mughal architecture and covers many palaces such as Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Diwan-I-Khas, Dilkusha Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Krishna Mahal; all are beautifully sculpted in colors and paintings.
Amber Fort-The capital of Kuchawa Rajput from 1037 to 1728, it is located seven mile to the City of Jaipur. The palace is covered by high walls and along with hills surrounding the palace. Travelers can explore the Mughal and typical Rajasthani architecture and enjoy elephant safari in lavish style.
Hawa Mahal- Hawa Mahal or palace of winds is the most exciting attraction of Jaipur. It was constructed in 1799 on the edge of City palace complex. It was made of sand stone and there are so many holes in the palace so that royal women can see the activity of market. The five storey building is constructed in a typical way adorning lord’s Krishna’s head and covers more than 900 screened windows and balconies.
Jantar Mantar- It was built in quest of discovering of cosmos. The main idea behind constructing the mausoleum is to create awareness among public about Astronomy. |
