 Coonoor and Yercaud Situated 1,858 meters above the sea level, Coonoor is a hill station 13 km from Ooty. Yercaud is a quiet hill resort in the Servaroyar hills. the mild climate combined with breathtaking views makes Yercaud a must for tourists. The nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli. Salem 26 km away is served by a number of main line trains. A prominent feature of Yercaud is its lake. Nearby is Anna park. Lady's Seat is a point overlooking the winding Ghat road. Atop Servaroyam Hill the third highest in this region is the Servaroyam temple a cave temple with a mordern facade.
